About Me

“Travel is not a break from life; it’s what makes life whole.” — Jill Riley.

About

I’m Jill Riley. For over 20 years, I’ve explored 50+ countries—from tracking big game on African safaris to the rush of driving Germany’s Autobahn. Travel, to me, is more than ticking off destinations; it’s about embracing cultures, hearing local stories, and venturing off the beaten path. Whether bartering for textiles in Morocco or dancing samba in Brazil, I aim to uncover what makes each place come alive. Join me for tips on packing light, finding authentic experiences, and embracing the unexpected on every journey.

Why Travel?

I caught the travel bug at 16 when I took my first solo trip to Latin America. Since then, I’ve been hooked and have explored over 50 countries—and I’m excited to see many more!

Favorite Destination?

It’s hard to choose—each place has its own unique charm. But if I had to return somewhere, it would be Germany and South Africa.
